October 3-6

official trip flyer

What a great deal to enjoy a relaxing and fun weekend in San Francisco.  The Chancellor is a charming hotel on Powell Street.  The cable car stops at the door.

Enjoy the sight of San Francisco during the day; followed by the fantastic nightlife!

This hotel is managed by Wes, who has joined us on the last ten or so Europe trips.  He has set up a sweet deal for us.  These rooms go for $200 per night on weekends.

2-Night Option (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun)

$102 (per person, double occupancy)
$203
(single occupancy)

3-Night Option (Fri/Sat/Sun)

$153 (per person, double occupancy)
$305
(single occupancy)

You need to handle your own flight (or drive). Unlike previous trips, we could not get a group deal for flights.

Downtown is the same distance from either SFO or OAK. SFO has a BART station in the terminal, at Oakland you have to take the AirBart Bus to the train station. The cost to get downtown is around $5, you would get off at Market St and walk up Powell 2-3 blocks. The BART is actually faster than a taxi from either airport.

If you are going with a group, you should consider driving.  Given the cost and airport hassles, you might be better off. I drove up last month, it took 15 minutes longer to drive (door-to-door) as compared to flying. Parking rate info coming soon.
